William I : received
Letters Menu | Next LetterSeptember 17, 1982 Dear Mr. Brown, Allow me to re-introduce myself. My name is William, I am a free-lance investigator into the subject matter of UFOlogy Physical Evidence. This involves Crashed Flying Saucers and their subsequent military retrievals. I called you several times asking you about such subject matter as Electro-Gravitics, Magnetohydrodynamics, Gravity, UFO's, and the Unified Field Concept of Physics. I want to come straight forward now and ask you the question that has bothered me but I hesitated to ask in the past. Mr. Thomas Townsend Browns, did you accompany a crew of scientists along with a team of military personnel in around April of 1948 to a location 12 miles north-east of Aztec, New Mexico, to study, analyze, and retrieve a crash-landed flying saucer? Your credentials seem to parallel those of the mysterious "Dr. Gee", mentioned by Frank Scully in his book, Behind The Flying Saucers published by Holt and company in August of 1950. In that book Mr. Scully mentioned that "Dr. Gee" headed up a group of scientists, during the war, whose job was to develop magnetic detection devices to locate submarines. Mr. Brown, that was your job, during the war, at least up until 1943. Later, in another book, entitled In Armor Bright (Scully's autobiography) he mentioned "Dr. Gee" as being a composite of 8 different geophysicists, on whom he slapped the name of "Dr. Gee." I believe that yourself, Ladendorf, possibly Von Neuman, and possibly Oppenheimer or/and Von Braumm were all 12 miles north-east of Aztec on that rocky plateau overlooking hart canyon, situated on a cattle ranch belonging to a Mr. Harold "Hi" Dunning at the time, in April of 1948 examining that downed flying saucer. Also, you had a remarkable interest in UFO's enough to form the N.I.C.A.P. in 1956. This coupled with your own propulsion theories going back to 1928 makes you that much more a likely candidate to be one of, if not the chief scientist heading up, the team sent to examine the crashed saucer, near Aztec. Mr. Brown, there is one more name I want to mention, a Baron Nicholas E. Von Poppen. He was hired by the govt. to take several hundred photographs of the downed saucer. Mr. Von Poppen, all along, thought he was examining a top secret U.S. made vehicle, until he saw the small humanoid bodies inside and outside the craft. He also thought that he was within the vast Los Alamos proving grounds, not realizing that all along he was actually 12 miles north-east of Aztec, N.M I visited Aztec between July 6 and July 10th of this year on an investigative tour. I found the crash-site and 4 witnesses in town, one of which was Mr. Harold Dunning, the 1948 ranch owner. Please Mr. Brown tell me the complete truth of this matter. You must get this off your chest B/4 you pass-away. Send me photographs if you have any. Plus send me a complete report, if any. I will not tell anyone, just to satisfy my curiosity. Thanks. Very sincerely yours, William S.
