Dick I : received
Letters Menu | Next LetterDecember 1, 1984 Dear Dr. Brown, After several weeks of unsuccessful attempts to locate you I was indeed happy to speak with your wife on the telephone today. I am sorry to hear you are not quite up to par and send along my best wishes for your speedy improvement. I am a writer in the process of completing a book that will offer the lay American public some insight into work being done in the field of alternate energy sources. It is designed to offer the hope that OPEC might not hold the only key to the future. There are a number of questions regarding your work in MHD and gravitation that I would very much like to ask of you so that your work can be accurately depicted in the book. If you would be willing to have me visit with you at your home I think the impact of a personal exchange would contribute much to the story. I would be willing to travel to Avalon whenever you feel it would be in keeping with your schedule but would like to try for sometime before December 20, due to my publishing schedule. I have read of your exciting work and believe that it has contributed far more to our future society than you have been given credit for in the past. I truly look forward to meeting you. With best wishes, Dick R.
