Dearest,

Just a quicky note. Have sent the $500 check directly to the Umatilla Bank.

You can send out the checks as listed in red on the recent schedule for Dec. 1st.

Good to hear your voice on the phone the other night. You certainly always sound wonderful on the telephone and I hope you are feeling just as good.

Interesting to know about the new pets. Helps keep our minds off the old ones.

Mr. Bahnson, Sr. has just been in the laboratory. Was here yesterday also. Seems now to be taking quite an interest. Seems genuinely interested too. AHB, Jr. is away today - gone on a trip. He brought in the patent attorney yesterday (from Washington). Discussion was about the many unfiled cases.

Glad you have the oil heater working. Be sure you understand how to operate it - and don't take chances on letting it get too hot.

Am working on the shielding tests in vacuum. This is the part of the Paris work which was performed after I left. So it is new territory, at least for me. All other tests have performed as I said they would. Am working frantically, trying to get this phase completed before the week is over.

Rest and take care of yourself.
